Corona Virus Pandemic

In keeping with Government and Church of England advice, the Priory has had to be closed to all visitors. 

This means that Services cannot be held in the church so as an alternative, each Sunday at 10.30 am, a Service will be conducted by way of a streaming utility.

In anticipation of an eventual re-opening, the information about the Priory remains on this site.

The Streaming Service, the St Bees parish magazine, and the latest Parish Council information can all be accessed via the links below.

St Bees Priory has adopted the national Church of England / Diocesan Safeguarding Policy and the PCC and APCM receive regular reports on safeguarding from our Parish Safeguarding Adviser.

Urgent concerns about vulnerable adults should be referred to your local District Adult Social Care office 0300 303 2704 or, out of normal office hours, the Emergency Duty Team 01228 526690, or the Police.
